My system is bogged. Task MGR is full of things I cant delete.

Everything will be going fine, then things will slow down and freeze up.
I do a CTRL-Alt-Delete,I go to task mgr and its loaded with crap. A lot of ad/spyware stuff I had gotten rid of with Adware program. I try to end the processes and they come right back after I try to end them.
I have high speed cable internet and am running XP. The system is running slower than it shoupl I have a Pentium-4 Compaq.
What can I do to remedy this?

1. Do you have an anti-virus program?

Do you use firefox? What adware remover do you use? Here are some free anti-virus/adware programs that I use:

Ad-aware
Spybot: search and destroy
HijackThis! (more advanced)
AVG anti-virus free edition
Firefox internet browser

I had the same problem as you before I started using all of these programs and they get rid of everything. There are better programs out there that you must pay for, but the free ones do the trick. I'm sure others can recommend more free programs too. Good luck.
