A quick FYI regarding SP2 and CD-burning...

I think the SP2 "patch" for XP Home fouled up the Nero CD creator program that came with my Gateway notebook, and iTunes as well.

Nothing major... just needed to download updates for each program, easily available from their respective sites.

(Naturally, I only discovered the Nero problem while trying to burn a disc and get it to the FedEx drop-box in time. Made it just as the driver was about to pull away!)

1. SP2 ...

Several programs have been affected by the update, but I wasn't aware of Nero. Thanks for the heads-up. I use it, but haven't actually burned a CD since installing SP2.

I use a theme program that styles my desktop, icons, etc. the way I want on the fly, and it was "broken" by SP2. I found that bizarre. I still don't know what part of a theme generator would have been affected by it. Just goes to show how little we really know about what comes in those "patches" without looking really hard to figure it out. Anyway, luckily, the publisher of the program had a patch out in a few days.

IIRC, for those who use ZoneAlarm, it was affected by the patch as well.

2. Nero upgrades have taken care of it

Had the same problem with Nero after SP2 but it works fine now that Nero has updated.
