Apologies for an oft asked question: |
|
How does one post a pic in his/her DU post? And how does one make sure that same pic is posted under every post he/she makes? Duh. Thanks

you just copy and paste the URL of the photo. It has to be a jpg or gif file and some sites won't allow remote linking to photos so you may have to upload the photo to a free image-hosting site such as www.photobucket.com or www.ofoto.com, to name a couple.
If you paste the URL in your signature, it will show up in every post (even the ones that were posted in the past and still active.) In other words, you don't have to "test" your signature -- just insert the URL and then look at any previous post (assuming signatures are turned on -- sometimes they aren't due to high traffic.)
We all have to start somewhere. Hope this helps! :)

3. Not if the folder is on your computer. |
|
It has to be somewhere on the internet. But it really is easy to upload from your folder to one of those free sites.
For example, once you login on Photobucket, you just click on "browse," find the photo you want, then click "submit." It appears further down on the screen with three lines of code underneath, one of which is the URL. Copy and paste the URL into your post or signature and that's it! And the photo stays stored there as long as you want.
Have fun! :D
