Where Can I Get Electronic Screws for My Cell Phone? |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 02:47 PM by ribofunk
At some point, two screws seem to have fallen out of the back of my LG cell phone, causing it to act erratically. The Verizon service department offered no help in telling me where I could get replacements.
Anyone know where I could try? Would appreciate any suggestions.

3. Thank You -- Never Thought of a Hobby Shop |

Radio Shack looked at me like I had two heads. The days it was an electronic hobbyist's shop are long gone.

I used to manage a RadioShack, and left as it was completing its decline from great hobbyist's shop to big cell phone kiosk, with other stuff laying around.
The final step was when they compacted a dozen feet or more of wall space carrying all the fun parts into a couple of feet's worth of drawers. Just sad.
Especially since I managed to maintain an incredible profit and sales gain based on the parts nobody else wanted to mess with.
People forget those folks buy a lot of other stuff, too. Sigh.

4. Try www.mcmaster-carr.com |

They have just about every screw imaginable. You need to know the threadsize (threads per inch and the diameter) and overall length to get an equivalent, though.
