Anyone who's expert in printing to Adobe PDF? |
|
An organization I belong to publishes a newsletter. The editor creates the document in MS Word (I am assuming XP) and I distill it on Acrobat 6.0.
My problem is the file I receive is about 1MB with some graphics and pictures along with some word art (about 26 pages long). I have been trying to distill it but the file size grows to 5MB when I return it.
I've tried distilling at Acrobat 6.0, and lower, even compressing to smallest file size, but I can't seem to reduce it further.
Can anyone give me any clues, like settings how I can squeeze this file down to something sendable? The people who download it from the web are not happy with the file size either...have to keep the customers happy....
Thanks in advance!

It's only recently I've had this problem
Last month I was writing a research paper for a class using MS Word and MS Publisher and Acrobat distilled beautifully (OTOH, I was having more problems with Word).
I am wondering if the problem lies within the text layering in Word. There are about 2-3 text layers per page.
