How do I delete parts of a pic I want to post?
I don't have any fancy photo shop SW but I do have MS Office and some Digital Photo SW.

How can I delete just part of a pic that has my address in it?

Maybe it's obvious how to do this to you but I'm afraid I'll ruin the pic! :P

Guide me, if you can... Thanks.

1. First copy the photo to another folder or create a folder(MyStuff) in order to keep the
orginal safe. Then download IrfanView (if you do not have it) you can then clip the pic you want. It is one of the best photo programs around(free).

Caution: I believe it now comes bundled with a google toolbar for IE, uncheck this if you do not want to install the toolbar.

2. you can do it pretty easy in Paint.
do as mentioned above and make a copy in another folder or desktop to save original. Right click on icon for photo, and click "edit" (this is XP btw)
pick a tool and clean it up. You can just paint a dark spot or get clever and play around.

3. In your digital photo sw, look for "crop" and "select"
so basically you would use the "select" tool (like a rectangle that you can drag around) and select the portion of the image that you want to keep (so, minus the address) and then find the "crop" function -- you may have to play to see if it crops out the selection, or crops everything but the selection.

It's fairly easy once you know what tool you're looking for

then, choose "Save As" to save the new file under a different name, to preserve the orig
