Help! My laptop curser is frozen in place.
I had just posted something in the Photo Group last night when my curser got stuck in the middle of the screen! I tried for an hour to make it work, rebooted 3 times! No go.

Anyway, I don't have a mouse anymore, so I'm bringing my mouse from work home tonight to see if I can get the curser to move without using the pad on the laptop. If that works, I'll just go and buy a mouse. But if an external mouse doesn't work, does anyone have any suggestions on how to unstick a curser? I'm not sure I can afford to bring it somewhere to be repaired, and I sure as hell can't afford a new computer.

Thanks in advance for any help! :hi:

1. Go to the mfgr's website.

See if they have a FAQ or Troubleshooting page. Or they might even have a user forum.

There may be something there that might be of use. It could be a common problem to that laptop.

In lieu of any helpful info there an external mouse ought to work OK.

3. Caution: do not add/remove mouse while running Windows, there are bugs going back to W95 that have
never been addressed. Especially in standby/hibernation mode, can make a laptop unbootable(new motherboard needed to fix).
