Someone told me that there son is making money gold mining. From what I understand it's playing other peoples role playing games to level them up to higher levels so they don't have to do it themselves?
Has anyone heard of that, is it true?

1. It wouldn't suprise me a bit... |

Though I cannot confirm or deny... Back in the early 1980s I have a fiends kid brother do the grunt work for me to get my wizardry character's money, so tyhe concept is certainly not new. In the age of the inteent, I fully suspect there are people willing to do the same basic thing for online games.

2. It is indeed a very common and |

lucrative business especially in Asian countries. Those are "farming or gold" miners. One individual hires a 100 people to just play characters and mine for gold or loot. Some have "power level" as well. ALL of it is against the terms of service for any game and can get you banned from a game.

3. Quick, I have to go tell my teenage son that there indeed *might* be a future for him! |

And all this time I've been telling him that playing video games is a big waste of time!
He'll be thrilled!
(this is insane, of course, but hey, it's a whole new world)
