My mouse is acting up - help
when I click on my bookmarks it immediately scrolls to the bottom half of the list and when I go to the top and bring the top of the list into view as soon as I move it the list drops again. It also does the same thing to volume control and anything with any type of a slide control.

I tried going into the control panel and adjusting the mouse but the only thing I accomplished was a getting my mouse to move as fast as possible.

1. Is it a new mouse or the same one you had all along?

3. try this
remove your bateries. Unplug the USB receiver. Reboot. plug the receiver back in and put your batteries back in.

If that doesn't work, it may be useful to see if their is a newer driver.

5. another thing to watch for with wireless mice
I know your issue has been resolved, but this might help others

Wireless mice can become sporadically responsive because of interference.
If you've already checked the batteries, sometimes the solution is as simple as moving the receiver for the mouse to a better location.
