Shift key problem on an iBook G4
I'm on my father's Mac and every time I use the shift key, the Safari screen rolls up to the top like a roll-up shade; only the scroll bar showing. Hitting it again restores the screen. Does anyone know why it's doing this and how it can be fixed? There's no telling what combination of keys my father might have hit by accident, if that's what caused it.

1. does this happen on every website...
or just in Google/GMail? There is a known bug with Safari and the shift-key in Google apps.

and it's a recent problem. Maybe I should just download Thunderbird and be done with it.

3. Anyone have any further ideas?
I'm leaving in a few days and if anything complicated has to be done on the computer, I'd be better than my dad at doing it.

5. Thanks.
Being a PC person, I keep forgetting there is a Mac forum.
