speakers with built-in sound card? |
|
Edited on Sat Jul-12-08 03:20 PM by ellenfl
i think my sound card on my work computer went out on me yesterday. the peripheral speakers no longer work, nor do the speakers on my monitor. the sound just quit in the middle of the show i was listening to and i could not get it back. no computer sounds either when i bootup and shut down.
i do not want to open up the computer belonging to my bosses to replace the sound card so i am wondering if such a thing as a usb sound card, that will replace an internal sound card, exists.
i am researching but i thought you guys might confirm (or deny) this for me.

1. Sound can be wonky ... |
|
I assume you tried to reboot.
After that, try to reinstall the drivers.
Then you might start looking for a hardware malfunction, and the first place you should start there is with the chords that go from the card to any set of speakers you might have.

3. Sorry ... misread the post |

You can get a USB interface sound card. I've seen them being used by people with laptops especially.
