I've got to get a new laptop. I am so confused. I want fast and able |
|
to play videos and good battery life and a fairly large screen. I was told to get at least 2 RAM. I still don't know what the hell RAM is but it supposedly makes your computer go faster.
Anyway, I am on my ACER with a broken plug so I can't move it 1/2 inch or it will shut the electricity off. And then I have a big 20 minutes or so of battery life. This is not what I thought a laptop was supposed to be. The idea was to charge it up and take it for walks and such.
I saw a woman at a coffee shop who had a laptop that she said had a battery life of about 6 hours! It was really cute but I might want a little bigger one just to watch videos.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do NOT want to spend more than $1,000. I was thinking if it could pick out the type I might be able to find it on EBAY. Thanks

if so go to the dell outlet store.
look for an intel t7300 or t7500 (t7500 is faster) processor with at least 2GB or ram (which stand for random access memory) and at least 256 MB ram on the video card.

2. I don't know how much money you are talking about. I wanted to spend |
|
less than $1,000 and preferable a lot less. But I wrote down what you said. No one ever explained what Ram meant to me before. I know it is important if you want your computer to go fast and God knows I hate a slow computer. And I didn't even think about a video card speed.
So thanks!

3. I saw a t7500 a month ago for around $800-$900 at the dell outlet |

the best way to narrow that down is to look for an intel core 2 duo running at 2200 for the processopr type, but a 2000 min memory, and a 256 video card. then when the list filters, sort by price.
Look at the links that come up on the left side of the screen and it will tell you the processor type.
