i took out the vidio card, put a heat sink on it.. now all i get is th red Compaq page at

start up.. it did go to windows page with the bar timer.. then the timer bar lights go blank, not anymore

i tried to start it in safe mode.. started the safe mode and froze up, i did get into the bios acidently

its a 2005 Compaq presario 2.6 ghz 512 mb..new HD new XP

any sugesrions..??

2. Whoopsi. That ain't good.

Are you sure the card is seated and ALL power connectors are plugged in? Maybe one of the came loose when you reinstalled the card? Also is the fan running?

the fan worked.. i took it to the shop.. the computer was Jinx'd
from the start... that's why i built a new one.. i could upgrade and fix
