problem with 15 in 1 media center |
My new comp has stopped recognizing it. It did come back once for a few days but then stopped again. If I put in a memery card to transfer pictures it does nothing. Any ideas? This machine is a Gateway GT 5692 running Vista.

1. can you see it listed in the device manager? |
Right click "Computer" on the desk top and select "Manage". It should have them listed under portable devices and drives as well. Check for ! or ? next to a device. I have the same reader and it is pretty good, although it conflicts with any additional CD/DVD drive i try to install. I think they got a hinky bios

3. How about when it boots up? |
You ca quickly see it during boot, if it is not showing a all in one during boot then something is wrong. Getting to the all in one device is a bear. You have to take front bezel and side cover off. then the top cover. If it not showing on boot then i would check see if something came loose in there.
