Considering a 1 year old Inspiron 640m Dual Core laptop |
|
I am thinking seriously of buying this little over 1 year old laptop. I am a power user that often has multiple Adobe products open at a time. I would likely upgrade it myself to 2 GB RAM. I am a PC geek so I don't care about support, as I just figure issues out by googling.
LIKE NEW Dell Inspiron 640m Intel Core Duo T2300 1.66GHz, 1GB RAM, Huge 100GB 5400RPM Hard Drive, DVD+/-RW/CDRW Combo Drive (Burns DVDs & CDs), Nice 14.1" WXGA Glossy Widescreen LCD (1280x800), Windows XP Home Edition SP2, 56K Modem & 10/100 Ethernet, Internal Wireless A/B/G, 5-In-1 Memory Card Slot, Laptop
UNDER DELL WARRANTY UNTIL 7-13-2009!

If you're using Adobe, you definitely need more RAM since 128Mb of that is shared video memory. CS3 demands a minimum of 1 GB. I would use PC Decrapifier and get rid of all the crap Dell bogs them down with.

2. $437 sound like too much, it's Buy It Now, I hate bidding on anything that attracts lots of bidders |
