This XPAntivirus2009 is getting downright nasty. |
|
Looks like whoever is behind this thing is updating it almost constantly. It appears to be getting through almost every real antivirus program right now. I cleaned it from one client's computer two weeks ago, no problem. Yesterday he brought it back, and it was a hell of a lot harder to excise it this time.
It's a horse race, and it's nose to nose. I sure do hope this asshole runs out of ideas soon!

1. I've seen it on about 5 machines that were brought to me. |
|
The one thing in common to all of them was they used Internet Exploder.

2. Ditto what hobbit said ... |

Wherever I've seen it (and I've seen it a lot) Exploiter was in use extensively.

4. Malwarebytes kills it pretty quick. |
|
I have run into this little nasty quite a few times and malwarebytes has killed it every single time with no issues.
