Virtual PC

I like making changes to the operating system I'm currently using but as it is now I have to do a complete reinstall to try out my hacks. Plus I'm constantly looking for the just right Linux so I try them all and running them from the cd drive is not allowing me to actually try them as I would want. I really don't want to have a large number of partitions even though I have plenty of space. So in that vein is there any advice for me???
Could it be that this would allow me do all this without all the fuss?

1. I just deleted a program off my old PC called Daemon Tools
I was told it's a program that allows you to create 'virtual drives'.

There were virtual drives on this 'puker for Linux.

Hope that helps a little! :hi:

2. Mostly yes...
Make sure you have plenty of drive space, processing power and memory available on your host system. You will have to partition (reserve) some of each for your VMs.

VMWare workstation is a better product but it is not free like Vitual PC.

Here is a quick comparison of the two. http://www.petri.co.il/virtual_vmware_virtualpc_compared.htm

3. Also, VirtualBox ...

... which, imo, is better than either and free.
