Strange problem with sending mail (Windows mail) with attachments |
|
I keep getting an error when I attach Word files to outgoing emails through Windows Mail (Vista).
When I click "send" a box will pop up telling me there are problems with the characters and asking me if I want to "send as unicode" or "send as is" or cancel. I have selected unicode and as is, and both seem to be going through OK to the other person. At least I haven't heard anything back from anyone about problems with the files.
I did find something online recommending that you change the settings from "rich text" to "plain text" and that seems to stop the errors from popping up, but am I losing any function this way? I mean, besides the ability to make something bold or italic in the body of the email itself?
Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.
