Zone Alarm log shows no firewall alerts at all since at least 12/23 |
|
when I installed the latest version (or at least when it registered itself). It shows plenty of program alerts (programs on my computer trying to call home). Then again, these are all from today, so what appears to have happened is that free Zone Alarm no longer maintains these logs beyond 24 hours. Still, it seems odd that nobody would try to invade my computer at all even over any given 24 hour period. I'm back on dialup; maybe I'm just not worth the biscuit. Whaddayathink?
Regardless, I'm feeling a little less comfortable with free Zone Alarm. Does anyone have any suggestions for another free firewall that might be better? I could always turn on the Vista firewall of course.:)

It was recommended to me when I bought this computer a year and a half ago, but at the time it wasn't Vista-ready. Glad to see that it is now. Thanks again.
