help...changing ISPs...
sometimes I can log-in and sometimes I can't, changing from msn to centel...

I don't want to get all those young people on either "support team" frustrqated by my ignorance, but...sometimes I can log-in to the new isp (centurytel) and sometimes I can't...how comes?

Should I let "tech support" deal with more important things, or should I bug them again?

Can anyone here give me advice?

1. What OS are you using?
The first step on any OS is to completely remove all the MSN software including the 'msn browser', the ugly internet explorer half-breed with the blue login you used to use to log on.

Getting it all rooted out will depend on what OS you are running.

Basically you need to open internet explorer (not MSN explorer) and under 'tools' to go 'internet options', then on the connection tabs delete every connection except your new ISP.

I logged-on with my new isp, this time.

I just want to know I can log-on with my new isp before I notify msn to terminate service??..

Since I have been able to log-on with the new isp a few times...is it safe to cut-off msn now?

Do you have any recommendations of where to start to understand all this?

On edit: I'm sorry to any young techies out there who have to deal with an older woman with DKS (don't know shit) out there. I really do {i}appreciate{/i} your expertise.

3. Call your ISP
and have them talk you through the problem. After all you are paying for their service. I have solved many problems doing this.
