Old harddrive files into new computer |

How do I do that? I just built a ShuttleX but I need info from my Dell harddrive (Dell motherboard got zapped by lightening). I have hardrive out of Dell but I don't know how to get my files onto my Shuttle. Anyone have suggestions?

Hook it up as a slave to any IDE cable (HDD or Laser device. You wont even need to mount it into the case if you don't want or if you have the space use it as a backup and storage drive.

Friend of mine has been trying to get her data from old HD to new.
Question: If you slave it, do you have to get inside the box and change junpers or something?
How difficult is this to do?
