Obscure Linux "cdrecord" question...
Edited on Mon Jun-27-05 04:07 PM by youspeakmylanguage
...so if it drops into The Black Hole of No Replies, I won't be surprised.

I'm attempting to burn some trance CD's with "cdrecord", but I can't figure out how to remove the 2 second gap in between the songs. It's a DJ mix so want the tracks to flow seamlessly.

I can only burn in TOA mode, so suggesting I use DOA mode won't work.

Any suggestions?

1. You'll have to edit
and merge the music into one file.

2. The Pregap can be set in K3B
I suggest using that instead. Just right-click on a track in the audio project pane, and go to the Options tab.

If you must use cdrecord, the defpregap and pregap options are what you're looking for.

3. I use cdrecord from the command line...
...so how would that apply?

Thanks so much for your help!

4. I think you want the defpregap option

defpregap=#
Set the default pre-gap size for all tracks except track number 1. This option currently only makes sense with the TEAC drive when creating track-at-once disks without the 2 second silence before each track. This option may go away in future.

I don't know if that works for non TEAC drives since I usually use KIIIB.
