firefox bug: address bar sometimes does not update when new tab opened ...
does anyone else ever have this problem?

i use firefox 1.0 ... sometimes, when i open a new tab by clicking a link, the url shown in the address bar remains on the previous url ...

for example, let's say i have DU opened in the first tab ... then let's say i open a second tab by clicking a link to www.NYTimes.com ... when i click this link, the Times page appears BUT the url in the address window sometimes (not all that often) still shows www.democraticUnderground.com ... once the address window value is wrong, it never corrects itself no matter what tab i access or what url i go to ... if i directly type a new url in the address bar, that new url will remain in the address bar no matter which tab i switch to or what link i click ...

the only way i can fix this is by closing Firefox and starting a new Firefox browser session ... does anyone have any idea how to fix this bug?

also, should i update to a newer Firefox version? ... i've heard that some people had problems when they upgraded ... what new features are available in newer versions that i should care about?
