Question re: old computer game "Hammurabi" aka "Ruler"

Back in the '80's a friend had a very simple computer game that I really liked. Recently I came across it again, free and downloadable. Ignorant question, but is it safe to download something that old?

1. It's not old

It's a remake. As long as you scan it for virii, it shouldn't be dangerous (as to whether it's well-programmed and doesn't do anything untoward during installation, that's something you can't know unless you seek out the experiences of others who've used it).

2. Just being overly protective of a new computer...I have good virus

protection so I should be fine.

I can't imagine why they would remake a game this simplistic. It would bore most people to death today. I remember being fascinated by it (and pretty damn good at it!)

It's a PDA program. There are free versions for Windows or Mac (and even a couple of online ones), easily found with a Google search.
