Question about IE
My Temp Internet Files setting in IE is set at 1138MB I went to pcpistop.com and did their system test and the result was to change that setting to between 5-80MB. When I changed that, it actually seemed to slow page loads up. I am on cable, and things load damn quick usually.
Any thoughts?

1. 5-80mb is too small
Put it back. Or at least set it to a couple hundred megabytes and see how that works. If it remains slow, increment by 100 at a time until you're happy with it.

3. As long as you're starting over .....

Why don't you ditch IE and try Firefox or Mozilla? I think you will be happy with it once you get used to it. IE and Outlook are prime targets of hackers and spammers. You can get a free download at www.mozilla.org.

5. Avant is IE
It just a shell wrapped around Explorer. I'm not one to hector people about changing browsers, but you need to be aware that whatever vulnerabilities exist in IE exist in Avant. So, do your best to keep current with MS security updates.
