Need webcast software for streaming audio on a remote host
All the stuff I've found is for serving audio from my own computer using webhosting apps. I want to install and run a remote radio station on a cheap host, and I don't want live365: their storage and bandwidth fees are too high. I have a host already picked out, just need the software to run it. Thanks for any help.

1. What kind of OS does the remote host use?
It would help narrow things down.

2. Windows & Linux systems
But I can always shop around for whatever platform is needed.
