HELP...
I downloaded that gizmo thing for Guy James Show, and immediately I started getting pop ups galore.. I uninstalled it and still got them.. So I downloaded Zone Alarm, and they stopped, but now my gifs wonn't animate.. I checked the internet settings and it still shows animations ON, The pop ups are gone, but I miss my moving stuff..

Should I do a restore to before Zone Alarm??

anything that a dunce like me can do to correct it and still get rid of the pop ups.. I have nortons, AVG and Zone alarm..

1. A Restore Probably Won't Remove Things That Have...
been added to your system since your backup was made. It will only replace items that have been lost or corrupted. Your better off using a spy-ware sweeper and then restoring your IE/FF settings to defaults.

4. Virus protection and firewalls
are not what you are looking for when you are getting pop-ups. You need to clean the garbage off your computer and install a pop-up blocker or use a different browser like Firefox or Opera.

Spyware Cleaners
Spybot S&D...http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download /
Ad-Aware SE....http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware /

5. Internet settings ...

What Internet settings did you check? IE, ZoneAlarm, etc.?

I ask because ZoneAlarm has a setting that is enabled by default that turns off animations. You need to uncheck this box. I believe it is under privacy or some such thing. (I'm at work and can't check.) At any rate, it's there, and if the animations turned off after installing it, that is certainly the issue.

You may have to restart ZA and your browser for this change to take effect.
