Give me your tips for sharing large files |
|
I'm trying to find a way to upload some movies to share. Anyone got any advice? We're talking 30 mb files here.

People can share your files even if everyone only has dialup... will take a while longer of course. I use ABC(Yet Another BitTorrent Client) with no problems. There are sites that tell you how to create a .torrent file.
That or try eMule. I use that one too with no problems.

2. you should probably read up about newsgroups |
|
Posts of movies are made on newsgroups regularly. You have to learn to compress and then divide the movie into small parts so that the size of the parts does not exceed your email size restrictions with your ISP and then post them to newsgroups where others can download, re-assemble and decompress them.
It sounds a lot harder than it is but caution - if you are violating copyrights you could wind up on the wrong end of a law suit.

...but never, ever, ever post to usenet with your "real" account. Drop the $10 for an Easynews account, they will protect your identity to the legal limit
