Who has experience using Wireless Ethernet Bridges (not adapters)?
My understanding is this is not the same as a wireless network adapter, the function of the bridge is to make a connection to something else with a network adapter, in other words, to pretend to be a piece of ethernet cable...

Did such a device work for you? Pitfalls?

I got one to try and hook up my generation 2 TiVo to a wireless network, using a USB/ethernet adapter as the connection to the TiVo, but I think there is a compatibility issue and I can't get the TiVo to show up on the network.

TiVo's networking hardware is incompatible with the latest generation of most wireless network adapters as you can see from their support site. But if you go into a store all you find is the latest generation (who can blame the store), and all the hardware that is actually SUPPORTED is not available.

So it looks like I have to buy their own TiVo adapter, grrr....
