I just found out I am in a "hot spot" for internet service |
|
This was after a friend brought his laptop over and connected to the internet with no problem. An online search revealed my town opted to become a "hot spot", and I am just a couple of blocks from the town government center. Guess I should have paid more attention to the local news, huh.
So, if I can get email for $2.95 a month, why am I paying over $40 per month for high speed cable?

2. Probably my own fault.... |
|
I only read the classified ads (since I am looking for a job), and ignore the rest of the paper.... I get my news from the internet almost exclusively... I don't frequent the shops downtown since money is tight these days...
Oh, and I spend too much time on DU 'cause I like the company!

3. something to consider - and i don't know if |
|
this applies to your situation - but we've stayed in hotels with "hot spots" and dh and i could surf around okay, but i was unable to maintain connection long enough to download the voice files i need for work. don't know if this would even be an issue for you. for now until i'm certain the "hot spot" is strong enough for my needs, i'm still reluctantly all wired up.
