Next problem: can't get videos to load fully or play
Missed the fun with some of the Cheney comedy this week. When I tried to watch the videos from Canofun all I got was the audio - this was unusual, the normal problem is I can only get PART of a video. For instance, today I was trying to see this http://www.current.tv/video/?id=1668812

at first is sounded like an old lp with the stylus skipping over the record, so I turned the volume down to let it load and it got to about 29 seconds and stopped - could play that fine, saw the animation and the sound matched but would NOT load any further - tried refreshing, tried starting the link over, you name it - this happens a lot of times and drives me crazy!

I do have a very slow dial-up connection, but I can get these videos in e-mails from people - why is that? They take forever to come in but then I can watch them just fine? Why is it such a pain to watch "directly" - Or how can I "capture" them to watch later?

(need very specific instructions - am not stupid, but am ignorant - windows xp home, what else?)

1. I'm not sure about the audio-only problems, but
Right-click --> Save Target As...

should help the rest. That will let you 'capture' a video to watch later, as you said. It'll download the file entirely to your computer first, which is also what happens when you get a video in your e-mail (which is why that works better).

Otherwise, the computer is trying to play the first part of the video while still trying to download the last part, and on dial-up, that = death.

2. I'm having the same problem, as I posted above.
I can't get video and "save target as" usually doesn't work as it saves the LINK to the video, but not the video file itself. Don't know if this makes sense, and no help to you I guess, but I've asked everyone I know and no one has a clue.
