How do I delete the "favorites" folder in IE bookmarks? |
|
I never use it and it just clutters things.
Yes, I know I should use Firefox, but I have problems running flash on it for some reason.

i believe the "favorites" folder in IE is also just a directory in your file system ...
if you're using Windows XP, try this ... go to "My Computer" ... then open the "C:\" directory ... then open "Documents and Settings" ... you should see a subfolder there with the username you use on your computer ... click on that and you should see a bunch of additional sub-directories ... one of them is your "my documents" folder ... another one is just called "favorites" ...
highlight the "favorites" folder (single click?) and then press the delete key ... that should do it ... let me know if this works ...
so, for example, the folder you're trying to delete would be in the path:
c:\documents and settings\drGonzo\favorites ...
hope this helps ...
