How can I get rid of old words typed
into places like Google or address spaces? When I click on Google all of the things I have previously looked up are listed underneath. Can I delete this stuff? Thanks.

1. try this ...

i haven't tested this myself but i think it might solve the problem ...

in IE, click tools/internet options ...

on the sub-form, choose the "Content" tab and then click the "Autocomplete" button ... finally, on the sub-form, click "Clear forms" and then click "OK" ... that should do it ...

let me know if you try this and whether it solves the problem ...

on edit: to clear url's you've visited (i haven' tried this either), do this:

click tools/internet options then on the "General" tab, click "Clear History" ... i think this clears the "history" but i'm not as sure it clears the "autocomplete" feature in the address window ...

hope this helps ...

3. One thing I know that does work
though it wouldn't be as efficient as WT's suggestion, is to just highlight down the list and press the "Delete" (not backspace) button. You'd have to go through the entire alphabet to get them all but you could just delete what comes up whenever you happen to begin another search.

4. For Google try GooDelete
It's free at http://www.pppindia.com/goodelete/

For the other stuff I use Window Washer by Webroot.
