Cleaning up a HELL (Dell) computer |
|
My Mom's friend just got one so I offered to "clean it up" for her.
OMG...39 progs running at startup (msconfig).
What a friggin' advertising mess. I feel sorry for people who buy one of these and are computer novices.

It's not hard to do. Give us a list of the garbage on it. We will be GLAD to help. Buying a computer off the shelf you will be inundated with shit but it's fun to clean.

Just sayin' that it was full of crap. I perfer builing them from scratch but this damn thing was so inexpensive I couldn't beat the price. She is on a tight budget. I hate Dell (Republican company) but that is what she ordered.

2. Thats why the only (recent) computer I purchased got |
|
nuked from orbit and rebuilt from the ground up before I even booted into windows.
I started wtih a bare install of WinXP SP2 w/ most patches and added things from there.
Its been rock solid ever since.
