what is a good audio streaming download, and video.. i don't have a good
computer..

compaq preserio 2.6 G and 256Mb RAM.. i tried to double that but it can only use 360..

this thing only has 3 PCI slots.. no AGP, it was evidently returned as defective and resold to me by Computer USA. when i was reloading XP again when i got to putting in my address there was already an address in it, i have had to do it 4 times in 2 years.. it is really a piece of crap, i cant keep programs in it, it is always losing the printer.. and Earthlink and Netscape wont work at all in it. it wont keep the program in it..

it wont stream AAR while cruising DU without stopping and loading and stopping and loading... it will not stream any video, it only plays about 2 or 3 seconds of video at a time, busting for a couple minutes in between.

any help is greatly appreciated

1. Are you using dali-up?
Sounds like you are using a 56K modem. Broadband is really needed for streaming audio and video without buffering problems. Do you have cable internet or DSL?

You have a 2.6ghz computer and you have about 360mg of RAM? I have a hard time believing your computer can't take more than that and at least a gig. I'm thinking thats your real bottleneck. You need a lot more RAM, a good gig would help but 512mg would do wonders. What is the model of your computer?
