1. I saw one in a pet store once.

Cutest little puppy I'd ever seen. Wasn't interested in getting a dog just then - and wouldn't have from a pet store anyway - just sort of "window shopping." Have heard they have a strange bark called the "Shiba Scream." Check web sites for breeders that might be in your area or attend dog shows. We found our standard poodle by visiting the web site of the Very Good breeder that lived near where we were then living in north Florida.
