I guess I have a new cat: Charlemagne
Ok, a few months ago there was a post in our condo of a missing cat who was a slim orange and white tabby named Charlemagne. Well, I saw him about 6 weeks ago once. Called the girl who left the message and she no longer seemed interested in her cat. Since then, when I've seen him I have been leaving out food. Tonight I actually saw him eat it. I brought him some water too and he loved that. I'm not sure when I'll be able to domesticate him, if ever, however when it gets cooler the lovely wild area in back of my condo might not seem so wonderful.

Anyway, I'm going to give it a try to rescue this pretty boy and I'll be looking out for him. Hope my cats are understanding, they are both extremely spoiled and jealous so - well - my heart has to got there.

I don't have pictures yet, we'll just see about that.

1. Hope His Meowjesty has many long years of life
Charlemagne probably fits him. He's going to end up thinking (knowing) he's emperor!

2. Yay! Good for you :)
I hope he takes to you and makes friends.

I have to start keeping an eye out for the little grey girl I saw this morning. I can't take her myself, but if I can find out where she hangs out, I can find a shelter for her I'm sure.

always worked for me in catching our babies. Once they associate you with food, they will follow you. Or at least all of mine are furry little whores.

5. Congrats!
He'll be better with you.

I suspect the homeless cats and ferral kittens at my apartment complex are all from people who no longer had interest in their animals.

Glad you stepped in!

6. More on "Charlemagne"

After looking at him close up he doesn't look like the same cat that the girl posted about. I'm not sure he is a he but I'll keep calling him Charlemagne or Charley till I know better. I did manage to get a couple of pictures of him (which I'll post tonight if I get time). I took pictures of him while he was eating. Both my cats saw him and watched him from the patio and seemed to accept the fact that the cat was there because he was hungry. (Two moans from Pad Thai then he was quiet) Charley started showing up to eat the bread I've been throwing out for the birds. :( but likes catfood better. Now that he lets me observe him from a distance, I hope I will soon be able to examine him up close to see if he needs medical attention and neutering.

7. Even if it's a she, you could still call her Charlie, just make it
Charlene or something of the sort :)

Keep on feeding him/her/it the kitty kibble and trying to make friends :)

Keep up the good work!
