Ball in a ring a big hit with Calypso |
|
brought home one of those big plastic ring things with a ball in it for our new kitten
I set it down on the floor - Calypso sniffed at it and looked at me as if to say "What the hell is it?"
I "batted" the ball around a couple times, she watched, then tentively batted the ball herself.
that's all it took - she played with it for 3 hours straight - she was so involved with it that I had to pick her up and bring her to her food bowl for her evening meal.
we could hear the ball rolling around in the ring - thank god I didn't buy the model with the jingle bell in the ball because she periodically played with it through the night.

My cats want me to hold it up and spin the ball around - moving it in circles fast, while they watch.
They get totally into it, but I have to do all the work.
Otherwise it sits.
Oh, their favorite toy right now - flash light. Of course, me doing all the work. I think it started with their bubbles which I would blow and they would stand facinated and watch and watch and watch. They got used to me doing all the work. At least when I get out their yoyo, they play with it, while I extend/retract it.
