Do you pets blame you for bad weather?

1. I don't think so
Oberon loves cooler temps, but Miro and Puck have been roasting themselves against the heatdish for the past few days (30 degree weather-in FLORIDA)! Puck has slept with me under the covers for the past few nights too; she's from Turkey, so she likes to be toasty, poor thing!

2. My cats got those Foster-Smith thermal fleece pads for Xmas
They love them! Lily has arthritis so I think they really help her. They also use no electricity so it's safe to leave them alone.

They're on sale now :( story of my life.

7. I love those pictures
The little one is quite the opportunist, isn't she?

11. Is she ever
it's been in the 30s and 40s here at night (FL), and I don't have heat in the house. The moment I get under the covers at night, Puck is right there, making her "eerp, eerp, EERP"! ( "I want, I want") noises. She won't stop until I pull up the covers. She zips under, flattens herself against me, and is asleep in mere moments. Funny how they always seem to get just what they want, isn't it?

4. YES!
My little beastie pomeranian gets very upset when we have to go walk in the rain. She gets upset at the rain- leaping and snapping at the raindrops as they come down. It looks really insane. She gets upset at passing cars- lunging at them barking. She gets upset with me- giving me "the look" and refusing to do anything.

5. One of mine complains to me...
...when the sun is out and it looks like it's a nice day outside, but it's deathly cold. (This is my sun worshipper - she and I fight over the last patch of sunlight on the patio in the Fall.) She pesters and moans and complains and wants to go out, then is all disgusted to find it's not as pleasant as it looks from the window.... :)

And both dogs hate rain, or wet grass. They'll barely even step out to "do their business" if the grass is wet. Then they're all surprised and indignant when I insist they go out anyway. Well, one is an arctic breed and the other is a desert breed, so it makes sense....

6. Tonight it is very cold, yet clear
Pad Thai went out, came in within 5 minutes, wanted out, came in within 2 minutes and it's like he goes back to the door and I say, "Pad Thai, do you really think it has warmed up suitably since the last ten minutes ago when you came in shivering?"

So I got him stoned on catnip and we played with the teaser toy until the baby got tired and has now taken up residence on a fleece bed.

So Merry Christmas to all the babies, but then we who love them give them Christmas every day, don't we?

8. Of course they do!
My three cats assume I control the temp and the rain. Dirty looks to me if it's too cold or wet. Had a cat years ago who really wanted to go out on a very rainy day. Kept whining at the back door and looking out and seeing the downpour. Finally had the terrific idea of going to the front door, and seemed astounded it was raining out that door too.

9. My dog refuses to go outside to go to the bathroom
when it is raining. She keeps looking at me as if to say, "Make it stop."

10. With mine when its raining it's like
"You want me to go out there and do what?" Snow isn't so bad, but he has to sniff around to find where he's been before.

12. My Samantha refused to go out in the rain
She was a 19-pound cocker spaniel, adorable, but with a will of iron. She'd just refuse to go out, if it was raining, and end up going in the house. I remember one evening, when she refused to do anything, outside, because it was beginning to rain. I walked this little dog all over creation, just waiting! Then, suddenly, when we were too far from the house to make it back in time, the clouds opened up and we were both just soaked. I spent the rest of the evening with towels and a hair dryer, just trying to dry my dog. I don't remember if she piddled inside that night, since that had become the least of my problems. *sigh*
