I have a total moron for a neighbor.
She came to my door tonight and asked if I would take her dog in my house tonight because she was going out and would not be back until tomorrow. She did not want to leave him outside because it was going to be too cold. She has left him out in 20-degree weather before.

I live in a 2-bedroom mobile home and she knows that I have two other dogs (one is a Rottweiler) and very little space. I said OK and she brought him over. He's really cute, sort of a Benji-type dog, but he is a wild child and drives my other dogs crazy. I had to ask her to bring his crate over so that I could put him in it for the night because he is only partially housebroken. Anyway, when she brought the crate, I asked her if he had eaten, and she said no. And this was at 6 p.m. and she had been home for 2 hours. She did not even offer to give me any food for him. So I fed him some of my dogs' food. And it seemed as if he hadn't had any water all day because he drank a full bowl of water. Then I took him outside and he peed and peed and then pooped and pooped.

I just had to rant about the stupidity of some people.

1. Good Rant RebelOne!
And an even more impressive kindness to dog being held hostage by a lunatic. O8)

If she continues to neglect him, maybe you should 'rescue' him - just make sure that whoever agrees to take him lives far enough away that she will never lay eyes on him again...

3. Yes, I am seriously thinking of "rescuing" him.
I am fostering a little dog for a rescue group and if I do, that's where he will go.

2. I feel sorry for animals who are the mercy
of people who don't care anything for them.

4. Well, here is the continuing saga of my moron neighbor's doggie.
She was supposed to come home Saturday afternoon, but by the time I went to bed at 10 p.m. she was not yet home, so I kept her little doggie, Simon, overnight. I had to crate him because he is so hyper and drives my dogs crazy. In the morning, I saw that her car was in the drive, so I put him on the chain in her back yard and figured that when she heard him bark she would bring him into her house.

Later on, I saw that she had left again and the dog was still chained outside. OK, I figured that she would be back later on. When it became dark, I went out to check on him and discovered that he had no food and no water. Luckily, he has on a sweater that I had bought him last year for Xmas so he is not cold.

I am so totally pissed with this woman and I am going to contact the rescue group that I am fostering a dog for and then this little doggie is going to mysteriously disappear.
