Help! My Cat is.....
a Foodie. *sigh*

he won't eat his dinner unless i top it with Aged Pecorino Romano. (not parmesan, not grocery store romano - the imported frou-frou food vendor kind)

if there is no Aged Pecorino Romano, then dried bonito flakes will do.

Lord help us if i am out aged pecorino romano and bonito flakes at the same time.

he also enjoys balsamic vinegar and one specific kind of ice cream - Breyers Toffee Praline Crunch.

Did i mention no mammal shall pass his lips? Organic free-range Poultry, please.

1. Two words: spoiled rotten!
I heard everything! A cat who has to have the most expensive form of Italian cheese--pecorino romano?! What next, his demanding caviar?

2. *lmao*
isn't that horrible?

i started him on the "back of the fridge, saved for spaghetti nights" cheese, but when i ran out of that, i happened to be at the frou-frou store, and figured i'd just pick up a tub of theirs. i guess he's gotten used to it.

it smells "feet"-ier i think, and so anything that smells milder just doesn't register.

he better not start demanding caviar tho. *lol*

on the bright side, he's not a beggar at all. unless any of his other hotbutton foods are being eaten. or anyone opens any sort of can of fish.

3. when I adopted my oldest cat she was very sick
and they only thing she would eat was smoked salmon! That runs about $20.00 a lb. However, I bought it and fed it to her anyway for awhile until she was able to enjoy other foods.

4. the smoked salmon didn't make her sick?
He lapped up the juice from a can of smoked sardines once, and then about a half hour later threw up the most vile smelling vomit i've had the pleasure of mopping up. I thought it was the smoked part, but maybe it was the oil.

5. no it didn't make her sick
But she could only eat very small amounts of it. I think it came down to ability to taste and feel like eating.

Luckily that is now over with but she still loves smoked meats and fish! :D

6. My cats are picky about their wet food too, but they aren't
as picky as your cat.
Special cheese?
LOL.

7. I take my hat off
I thought I was an ultimate cat woman (not Cat Woman, of course) as I run to the store whenever I'm out of Pad Thai's favorite treats, but you take the cake baby!

10. Can I come live with you?
You have much better eats than I get at my house.
I'm a fast learner and could learn to catch mice, if the job requires that.

14. My two chichi purebred rescued cats turn up their aristocratic noses
at all people food except for lox and cream cheese. Simce I'm not made of money under the best circumstances and since I've been through 2 1/2 years of very real poverty, it's a good thing their daily food is Kit & Kaboodle, one of the cheaper brands out there. Gawd help me if the stores are out of it, because then I get horribly accusatory glares and much pawing of the floor next to the food dish.

Aristocrats with the souls of cabbbages. I love it.

15. do they refuse to talk to you for the day?
If mine doesn't get his raw food dinner and is forced to eat kibble in the evening he's salty until dinnertime the next day.
