Silly Sleeping Pose Olympics
http://www.christymarx.com/moggy/olympics.htm

This is a great site, but it's all cats! I wonder if they'd make an exception for my Tasha. I think she was a cat in her former life. Anyway, if you want a laugh and you love cats, go check the site. Also, share your funny sleeping poses (canine or feline) here.

1. a couple of lucky shots I got in a convenient store in the Keys..

I think this is a type of mobius turn, or double twisting back splay

I actually thought it was a stuffed cat, it was so still. Just lying there in its basket sound asleep!

2. Too funny!
Natasha sometimes sleeps with a paw outstretched in the air like that. When I catch her doing it I can't resist playing with her paw. She doesn't wake up when I do that either.

I wonder what they're dreaming about when they do that?

I swear she looks like she's part Maine Coon in that photo, lol!

Here's a few of my favorites from the site. I should sift through my photos later to find a few to post:

4. I'm partial to the "French Revolution Nap" myself

as well as the "super extended limp noodle"

I took this one of Tasha yesterday:

Well, I really think she was a cat in her former life, so who knows, maybe she was a Maine Coon.

:hi: Jen!

9. Well that is the front door to the house
She obviously wants to make sure no one enters or leaves without her knowledge.

13. Maine Coons have a strange reputation
for squishing themselves into tight spaces and sleeping in absurdly uncomfortable positions. One theory says that they inherited this behavior from the ship cats brought over from Europe in the 1700s that mated with wild cats to establish the breed. I often catch Oberon in positions that make me say "you have GOT to be kidding"!! Oh well, he's happy.

14. Cool Jen!
It'll be interesting to see if they accept your submissions. I think Obie and Puck are having the same dream in the second one. ;-) They're reaching for something with that right paw.

15. I got an e-mail from the site owner
she said she'll definitely include "Oberon's inverted basket squishothon" in her next update. :-)

Hey, I just notice that all THREE have their right paw extended....hmmm, somethings going on in another kitty dimension, lol!
