I've tried all sorts of ways to give my old cat his twice-daily heart pills in the last several months--from using a plastic pill "injector", to using my finger to stick them down his throat (ouch!), to putting them inside PBJ sandwich bits, to smashing them and mixing them with butter and letting him lick it off the butter knife. Sigh!
I just found a new, easier way. I put the pill inside a little ball of cream cheese. To him it's better than a kitty treat and the pill goes down. Cats don't really chew things and will willingly just swallow the whole thing down. He tolerates dairy well these days (although it might bother some kitties).

2. I have tried everything to get pills down my Rottweiler. |

I have disguised them in hamburger, cheese and even special "Pill Pockets." Nothing works. She will eat everything and spit the pill out. I have tried sticking them down her throat, but she just spits them up.
