If my cat doesn't stop peeing where he isn't supposed to...
I'm going to put a cork in it.

The litter boxes are clean, he is healthy and doesn't have any kind of bladder infection. He is very confident and has no problems with me or the other cat. It is like he is doing it just to tick me off. He does do things just to make me mad, I can tell.

He doesn't do it often "only" about once or twice a week. Yesterday he peed on the floor and then looked at me and sauntered to the litter box and peed again.

So...pissed...off...right...now

1. Use a product called Feliway
it comes as either a spray or electric diffuser. It's made up of synthetic feline cheek hormones that calm kitty and give him a sense of well being (won't feel the desire to piss you off).

Get out the old stains/ smells with a product called "Get serious", and follow it up with another product called "Seayou petrotech Odor Eliminator".

Good luck!

:hi:

2. Feliway is fantastic!
It is pricey, but worth it.

We've used it whenever we had to take our girl anywhere.
The minute she would get into the car she would pee & poop on herself out of nervousness. Our groomer suggested Feliway and it works great! She becomes totally calm and quiet (no peeing).

You can find it at PetSmart.

3. If he's healthy it sounds like he's probably angry with you
does anything out of the usual routine happen on the days he does this?
Ignoring him to do projects? Someone coming over? etc

6. No he is fine and well adjusted,
he is just a jerk. He looks at me like "What?" when I gripe at him for peeing where he isn't supposed to. And when he is finished he just saunters off.

4. mom has the same problem with her lil pisser
we think it is a territory thing. (Big bruder is kind of mean to him)

But then again, my mom is neurotic, so maybe the cat is just confused!?

5. I was going to suggest Feliway, as well
I got it to calm my cat, since I rescued her from outside and she was terrified. But the main use for it is to eliminate spraying. They boast a 90-something percent success rate. And the support staff, when I called, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

The way it works is that it contains a synthetic cat pheromone. It's the one that's contained in the cat's cheeks, you know, when they rub against something or somebody, a bit is left behind, indicating "this is mine." It's supposed to make the cat feel secure, and they've had success eliminating spraying with it. And it's true that it comes in a spray or in a plug-in release, which is newer.

I also got mine at PetsMart, but you can find it at a lot of places or order it over the internet. I also got a rebate. Good luck with this!:hi:

7. Have you discussed this with the Vet?
They can sometimes help with behavioral problems.

8. My cats are fighting over who will be the new alpha cat.
My senior kitty died in September leaving the "young ones" without a top cat. The pissing and pooping in the house has begun big time. I won't even let them in the bedroom anymore because they took turns pissing on the bed.

I have a Feliway diffuser and the spray. Neither one has helped this situation. Boxes are clean and plentiful. What the heck is their problem????

I have two boys -- litter mates -- who are 9, a girl who is 4, and another boy who is three. All of them are fixed.

Any suggestions?
