I am in the MN area, looking for a Senegal, Meyer's,Jardine's, or Pionus parrot to adopt. Maybe certain conures... It seems more logical to adopt from an owner who doesn't want to care for it than just to buy one from a store... does anybody have any leads they could send me to?
Thx!

1. If you can't find an adoptee, go for a breeder instead of a store |
|
Try to find a good breeder. They tend to care more about the birds and take better care of them than pet stores do.

Since you can find exactly the type of pet that you're looking for, learn about him/her and find one in your area. It's a win-win situation, since you can find a bird who needs you. You might also phone your local shelter, in case they don't list here. Good luck and let us know how it goes!:hi:
