I'm looking for puppy proofing tips.
Mainly, I'd like to know what I might be able to do with the wires under my computer desk. See the pic in this link for a visual of what I'm dealing with here.

The only thing I can think of so far is to put the baby gate in front of them. I can't use it to keep her in anywhere because she can climb over it, but I'm thinking that if I push it up against the wall in front of the wires it should keep her away from them.

Does anyone else have any better ideas?

1. Plug covers

power strip safely cover

And we also put plastic strip covers over the actual cords. So you plug everything in, put the plug cover over the outlet, then run the electrical cord along the wall and cover with the strips. I think we bought the strips at Lowe's. I can ask my husband what he got if you are interested.

Some sort of simple barrier might work, too, as long as you plan to always supervise her in that room.

2. Oh yes. I'm supervising her constantly.
Especially since she is still so young. And I'm also crate training her for when I'm not home. I just want to make sure she's safe for those moments when I don't have my eyes on her.

Thanks for the tips on the outlet covers and the powerstrip covers. I will look into that.

3. What you need is "wire loom"
corrugated tubing split down one side that you can run all your cables through. It won't stop her completely, but it will give your wires an extra level of protection.

5. That was just for illustration, you can get it at any hardware or
electronics store.

I've bought it at Microcenter, CompUSA, Radio Shack, Lowes and Home Depot before.
