My 2 "new kids"
Edited on Thu Jul-21-05 12:13 AM by rainbow4321

Had to stop by to register Maddie today at the local city animal shelter and I saw 2 yr old Molly!! I couldn't resist her. She still looks a little scruffy---going for grooming tomorrow cuz the groomer said it had to be 48 hrs since her rabies shot before they would groom her.

Adopted 4 yr old Maddie from a rescue group a few days ago

3. Well.....
Maddie, who has been here for 2 days already is doing the "yes, I know that I have not touched that squeak toy since I have been here but it is STILL MINE" kind of attitude. It is getting better then when Molly first stepped in the house, though..she can at kleast go potty without Maddie up in her face.
She puts her paw on top of Molly as if to show who is the "top dog" but Molly seems to pay her no mind.
It's kinda hard for me to give Molly the attention she wants and deserves without feeling guilty that Maddie has HER feelings hurt. Think I may need to have "alone time" with both of them at some point!!

Overall, it is going OK...just needing an adjustment time!

7. What a wonderful thing you have done!!
Good for you for adopting rather than buying a purebred. so many great dogs are put down each day - And your new kids are beautiful (and lucky!!)
