Anyone here watch "Lassie" on TV? |
|
(The one with Timmy, played by John Provost)
And I must wonder aloud if it's really possible for a dog to be that brilliant. It seems as if Lassie can fully understand the English language. Still, it's very heartwarming to see how devoted and loving she is to Timmy and his family.

1. A dog can know enough to know what will happen |

My poodle will put herself over my hand so I can pick her up when I say "pickup". Another dog I was fostering did it too. They know what it means to go for a walk, go nite nite, treat, water, are you thirsty?, potty outside, belly rub, and a few others.
As far as "fully understand the English language" I don't think so.

3. Was not allowed to watch it, cuz I would always end up sobbing |
|
about the cliff hanger endings and I was so worried abut Lassie. Got to watch it like 2 times, and then it was banned. Guess I was too young to understand that as the star, Lassie would be ok.
