Looking for a DUer who breeds Dachshunds within 6 hours of Chicago...

Hey folks!

We are looking into buying a longhaired miniature dachshund in the next few months and if there are any DUers who breed them we ought to talk! We'd be looking for a red or a black and tan puppy.

2. Oh I know!

I grew up with LOTS of them. At one time we had;

- Four Dachshunds
- A Maluemute
- Two Dobermans
- A German Shepherd
- A Labrador
- A little mutt terrier (followed me home)

And that was all at once. Of course the population of dogs changed as the years went by, but we always had at least one Dachshund.

3. I've had two dreams in life

One is to take a dude ranch vacation in Montana or Wyoming. I'm on one now, in Wyoming - definitely living up to expectations (gotta get off the horse sometimes!)

Two is to have a little longhaired dachshund (or to have a life that would allow the time to care for a doggie). I figure now that #1 is out of the way, we can start on #2.
