U.S. COAST GUARD IS SAVING ANIMALS FROM KATRINA

There is a lot of bad information out there. Sunday nite at LSU's
colliseum turned animal shelter we met a guy from Homeland Secuirty that has personally saved 3 dogs; 2 abandoned at the superdome and 1 given to him by an owner who asked him to take the dog to safety for him. this guy was in love with these dogs. he was great to him. Today at LSU we met these two guys with the Coast Guard. While looking for survivors to rescue they found a house with about 50 dogs. They took as many of the puppies (they knew they would be adopted and found homes) with them as they could, and were upset because they had to leave the others behind.
They also rescued this shepherd mix. They got 5 min pin puppies., two of
which are shown here. The other three were brough back to the vet because they are in bad shape. Richard Forte and Jack Smith are pictured here. Richard is coming back tonight in hopes of adopting one of the puppies (the littlest runt).

They also told us that if they found people with animals, the people were
bringing their pets with them. They were also being saved. WE have so many out there working so hard, we need to support them and dispel the vicious rumours.
Thanks to everyone pitching in out there!!!

1. Thanks for this post
I had heard that Coast Guard refused to let animals go along.
